Winter

Luckily it still doesn't feel too much like winter.  It was 11C here yesterday!   The cottage is all closed up.  Hopefully the well will be full of water in the spring when we connect to the house.  NS Power hooked us up on Friday (had to close the road apparently).  We picked up our second batch of Ash for flooring today.  The PortaPotty is gone so it must be time to go.  We are looking forward to returning to start work on the interior. 

Leaving with lots of mixed emotions. We fly back to Tortola through Antigua on Dec 9 & 10.   

Thank you Ashley, Simon and Lucy for EVERYTHING!!!!!  It's been an amazing 5+ months.

Finally...the worse of the wall/stairwell is in place.  It is somewhat monstrous but will 'soften' up when we get some landscaping, grapevines??? in.    The Septic tank has been connected to the house.  The water has been connected to the house but the pump hasn't been put in the well and connected yet.  Tomorrow... we're told.  Flipping a coin for who gets to flush first.  LOL    Insulation repairs began today...amid the flurries, wind, sun, rain, flurries, sun, blizzard, sun.    Vanity in progress. It was a big day.  We got the build site mostly cleared of small trees and one big pine.  Mark the Newfie Tree Guy is an amazing tree-cutting-machine - even with a broken finger.   More on Monday.   Thinking of Fargo.   Pine bow/(future living room)view    Sunnybrook market and farm. One big pine down and one BIG chainsaw.
