June 26 and 27  Back from Chloe's fabulous GRAD party.  Finally there is a hole in the ground.   Pleasantly surprised at the nice soil and not a lot of stones.   Footings are scheduled to be poured on June 28.... Fun evening out with 'the kids' in Halifax.   (Click on photos to enlarge) Ready to dig the hole. Yippee!! "Very Nice" Crazy Cousins June 27!!!  Ready for footings.

Dirt & Fawns

All the stumps have been removed and future firewood piled off to the side.   Rough location has been marked and the excavator should be digging in next week.  The word "footings" was used!   Land cleared and inspected.  Second fawn that visits.  Firewood!

Stumps and Fire Wood!

All the big trees are down, branches chipped and big chunks waiting for an ax or chipper.  Any volunteers?   Watching those big pines come down was exciting!   Now waiting for good weather to get the excavator in. Meanwhile - dentists, shopping, boat repairs, fine dining at A&S's.  Looking forward to seeing family over the next few weekends. Snapped like a twig.  Last big one about to come down.  Lots of clean up after.  Approximately 75 years old.   Fog.

It was a big day.  We got the build site mostly cleared of small trees and one big pine.  Mark the Newfie Tree Guy is an amazing tree-cutting-machine - even with a broken finger.   More on Monday.   Thinking of Fargo.   Pine bow/(future living room)view    Sunnybrook market and farm. One big pine down and one BIG chainsaw.
